The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) is pleased to invite colleagues from higher education institutions around the world to participate in the HUSS International Teaching Week 2026, taking place from 12-16 October 2026 on our Budapest campus.

The International Teaching Week is designed to foster international academic cooperation, exchange innovative teaching practices, and provide students with an inspiring international learning environment through the contribution of visiting lecturers and professionals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

Teaching

We welcome applications from academic staff and experts who are interested in sharing their knowledge and experience through lectures, seminars, workshops and/or practical sessions in the following areas:

  • Physical Education
  • Sports Coaching
  • Sport Management
  • Human Kinesiology
  • Recreation and Active Lifestyle Studies
  • Biomechanics
  • Physiotherapy
  • Sport and Exercise Physiology
  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Sport Nutrition
  • Sport Psychology
  • Sport-related Social Sciences
  • Sport Medicine
  • Pedagogy
  • Methodology of PE Teaching
  • Other sport and health science related fields

Incoming lecturers will contribute to various HUSS study programs by delivering sessions for undergraduate and graduate students.

Beyond the teaching program, the International Teaching Week also provides an excellent opportunity to:

  • exchange good practices and teaching methods,
  • establish new academic and professional connections,
  • develop future international collaborations,
  • and experience the vibrant cultural and sport life of Budapest.

Social Program

Participants will also be invited to join a range of social and cultural activities during the week, including:

  • guided city tour in Budapest,
  • visit to a major Hungarian sports facility,
  • visit to one of the most interesting museums of Budapest
  • sports activities on the HUSS campus,half-day excursion outside Budapest,
  • networking and community events,
  • and much more.

Participation Costs

Participation in the International Teaching Week is free of charge.

Participants are expected to cover their travel, accommodation and living expenses through Erasmus+ staff mobility funding or other institutional resources.

In case your institution is not able to provide funding, HUSS has a limited amount available in its Pannonia Scholarship budget for financing lecturers who come from a partner institution.

During the official program, participants will receive complimentary lunches at the university cafeteria. Entrance fees and catering costs related to the organized social activities will also be covered by HUSS.

Language Requirements

The working language of the program is English.

Incoming lecturers are required to have an English language proficiency level of at least B2/C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
