Call for application for Pannonia Program short-term mobility for studies for the 2024/2025 spring semester (outgoing students).
The International Relations Centre at HUSS announces the Pannonia Program for short-term mobility application.
About the program
Under the program, students have the opportunity to participate in mobility abroad in institutions. The program offers the opportunity to gain educational, linguistic and cultural experience at a higher education institution in another program country.
For this mobility type we have a rolling intake meaning there is no deadline, however the submitted applications are scored and evaluated only once a month, so you must submit your application at least 2 months prior to your mobility.
- The duration of the physical mobility has to be between 2 and 5 days at the host university/institution.
- You must pursue your studies aimed at obtaining a diploma at HUSS and must have an active student status during your mobility.
- You must have completed at least one semester at the time of submitting the application if you are a bachelor student, students participating in a master’s, and doctoral programs are exempt from this requirement.
- You must meet the formal requirements of the application. The ranking is based on the GPA and the sports and public activity (proof have to be uploaded to your application).
- You must have at least B2 language skills in the language of instruction, or you must be participating in HUSS’s foreign language program. If you do not have a language exam, THIS document have to be signed the Department of Sport-Specific Languages.
- In one training cycle (BSc, MSc, PhD), the total mobility period can be a maximum of 12 months.
- You can take part in a conference, if you actively contribute to it.
- Before submitting your application for the short-term mobility abroad, you must upload your Letter of acceptance/Letter of invitation.
- At the end of the mobility period, the host institution must fill and Certificate of Attendance, if you gained credits you also have to upload Transcript of Records.
- We don’t encourage going on exchange during your graduation semester.
- HUSS is obliged to fully accept the activities undertaken, completed and certified in the study contract (Grant Agreement).
- You are entitled to a study scholarship or other loan disbursement received at HUSS during the mobility period spent abroad as well.
- You must have adequate insurance for the duration of your mobility.
- If a student successfully applies twice in consecutive semesters and withdraws their application both times after being nominated, they can only resubmit an application after skipping one application cycle.
The Pannonia Program short-term mobility application can be submitted via HUSS online application portal.
Documents required to submit an application:
- Proof of relevant language skills: Please attach your language certificate(s) to your applications. If you do not have one, a certificate must be issued by the language department.
- Proof of your GPA: Showing your last semester’s results, and GPA.
- Motivation letter: convincing, meaningful, relevant to the university, relevance to your studies, professional reasons for choosing the country/city/university, professional language skills
Your motivation letter will be scored and we will consider your answers if you have explained all your previous experiences. In the absence of a justified motivation letter, your application cannot be supported. By submitting your application, you authorize the relevant HUSS associates to read your motivation letter and use it anonymously for research and/or as a tool for improving the application process.
You can apply for study mobility at HUSS’s Pannonia Program partner institutions. You can find the list of currently eligible institutions HERE.
- The list of partners was determined at the institutional level, what matters is that subjects taken during the study abroad period shall be connected to your studies at HUSS.
- The applicant must study the partner’s profile and make a decision based on the available relevant courses.
- You must have at least B2 or equivalent language skills in one of the teaching languages of the given institution, which you can prove with a language test, a language school certificate.
- You can select one mobility destination; the decision if you have won the scholarship is made based on the ranking and the number of available places.
- In the current application round, applications can be submitted for the 2024/2025 spring semester. However we have a rolling intake which means that the application period stays open and the applications get scored every month.
You can calculate the approximate amount of your scholarship in advance. The scholarship is a contribution to the implementation of your mobility plan, but it does not necessarily cover all your costs. Before you jump in, make sure to prepare a budget. The amount depends on the destination country and the period spent abroad. It is a lump sum, so there is no itemized settlement, but you must prove the completion of the mobility as per your scholarship contract. After signing the contract, you will receive the scholarship in one amount in HUF.
