Application 2026/27
Call for application for Pannonia Program academic mobility for the 2026/2027 academic year (outgoing students).
The International Relations Centre at HUSS announces the Pannonia Program for study abroad mobility application.
About the program
The purpose of mobility is to enable the acquisition of educational, linguistic and cultural experiences in a higher education institution in another Pannonia Program or Partner country. Mobility for academic purposes should promote the student’s academic progress and personal development.
The total mobility period (academic study and practical traineeship) within one study cycle can be a maximum of 12 months. The selected students can study at the host institution free of charge and receive a living allowance awarded within the framework of the Pannonia Program for one semester or for an academic year.
This opportunity is not available for students participating in Stipendium Hungaricum program.
- You must pursue your studies aimed at obtaining a diploma at HUSS and must have an active student status during your mobility.
- You must have completed at least one semester at the time of submitting the application if you are a bachelor student, students participating in a master’s, and doctoral programs are exempt from this requirement.
- You must meet the formal requirements of the application. The ranking is based on the GPA and the sports and public activity (proof have to be uploaded to your application).
- Students must have at least B2-level language proficiency in the language of instruction or be participating in HUSS’s foreign language program. Students who are enrolled in an English-taught program (i.e. who complete their studies in English) are exempt from providing separate proof of language proficiency. If a student does not have an official language certificate, a certificate of language proficiency must be issued by the Department of Sport-Specific Languages.
- If you are a PhD student participating in a doctoral program, you are also eligible to participate in regular study mobility programs.
- In one training cycle (BSc, MSc, PhD), the total mobility period can be a maximum of 12 months.
- Before starting your mobility abroad, you must fill out and submit a written study contract with previously agreed on content (Learning Agreement).
- Your mobility activity must fit into your training plan and be related to your current studies.
- At the end of the mobility period, the foreign host institution must issue a certificate of the completed study program, as well as the results (Certificate of Study Period/Transcript of Records).
- In the case of academic mobility, a minimum of 15 ECTS credits must be completed at the host institution.
- We don’t encourage going on exchange during your graduation semester.
- HUSS is obliged to fully accept the activities undertaken, completed and certified in the study contract (Grant Agreement).
- You are entitled to a study scholarship or other loan disbursement received at HUSS during the mobility period spent abroad as well.
- If a student successfully applies twice in consecutive semesters and withdraws their application both times after being nominated, they can only resubmit an application after skipping one application cycle.
The Pannonia Program study mobility application can be submitted via HUSS online application portal.
The deadline to submit applications is 15th March 2026, 11:59 p.m.
Documents required to submit an application:
- Proof of relevant language skills: Please attach your language certificate(s) to your applications. If you do not have one, a certificate must be issued by the language department.
- Proof of your GPA: Showing your last semester’s results, and GPA.
- Motivation letter: it should be convincing and meaningful, clearly demonstrating your academic and professional motivation. It should explain the relevance of the chosen university to your field of studies, as well as the professional reasons for selecting the host country, city, and institution. In addition, the letter should reflect appropriate professional language skills. In your motivation letter, please outline any previous experience relevant to your application.

You can apply for study mobility at HUSS’s Pannonia Program partner institutions. You can find the list of currently eligible institutions HERE.
- The list of partners was determined at the institutional level, what matters is that subjects taken during the study abroad period shall be connected to your studies at HUSS.
- The applicant must study the partner’s profile and make a decision based on the available relevant courses. As a start you can check out the available factsheets HERE.
- You must have at least B2 or equivalent language skills in one of the teaching languages of the given institution, which you can prove with a language test, a language school certificate.
- You can select one mobility destination; the decision if you have won the scholarship is made based on the ranking and the number of available places.
- In the current application round, applications can only be submitted for the 2026/2027 fall and spring semesters.
You can calculate the approximate amount of your scholarship in advance. The scholarship is a contribution to the implementation of your mobility plan, but it does not necessarily cover all your costs. Before you jump in, make sure to prepare a budget. The amount depends on the destination country and the period spent abroad. It is a lump sum, so there is no itemized settlement, but you must prove the completion of the mobility as per your scholarship contract. After signing the contract, you will receive the scholarship in one amount in HUF.
